Massachusetts Financial Literacy Test Data & Complimentary Tests

The Council provides complimentary financial literacy tests for Massachusetts residents of all ages. The Massachusetts financial literacy testing resources were developed to provide evaluation resources for financial educators, offer a self-improvement tool for individuals, and give the media information about the current state of people’s financial capabilities across Massachusetts.

Schools can leverage the Massachusetts financial literacy test to address the 9th- and 12th-grade standards, including questions on: budgeting, income and taxes, compounding interest, how interest is calculated, savings, risk management, investment strategies, jobs and careers, fixed and variable expenses, comparison shopping, credit choices, and risk/reward tradeoff.
